In 1946, when Robert Schwake delivered his first order, a company was set in motion that was destined to become a major entity in the building and landscaping industry.

From rather modest beginnings, Robert Schwake founded his company with an answering commitment to providing his customers with quality product, service and satisfaction. As his reputation grew, so did customer requests for an expanded line of stone products and services, including the addition of saws to cut limestone to masons' specifications.

In the 1960s, additional yard space was acquired to facilitate handing a wide variety of landscape stone. Marble and granite, and the skilled craftsmen needed to fabricate fireplace surrounds, vanities and countertops have been in place since the 1970s.

Today, the Robert F. Schwake Stone Company features a modern, indoor showroom and a 7.5 acre paved display yard featuring over 100 varieties of building stone, 40 types of landscaping chips and pebbles, landscape boulders and flagstone in wide-ranging colors, along with limestone, marble and granite. Our constant searches in the US, Canada and Mexico continue to provide the best product selections possible as we stay abreast of customer preferences and ideas.
